  • Bishop Salvatore R. Matano to Celebrate World Marriage Day

The Most Reverend Salvatore R. Matano, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, will celebrate a special Mass to mark World Marriage Day at 11AM on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Couples celebrating marriage milestones (every five years) will renew their sacramental vows, receive special blessings, and be given personalized certificates to mark their anniversaries. The winners of the essay contest, “What Is a Christian Marriage” will also be announced by Bishop Matano at this Mass.

Parishes throughout Vermont will also be conducting their own celebrations during the week.

Media members are invited to cover “World Marriage Day” at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.
