Vermont legislative pages

BARRE--Two St. Monica-St. Michael School eighth graders, Theresa Hoar and Eusebio Aja, were selected as Vermont legislative pages. They deliver messages to the Senate, House of Representatives and the various legislative offices as well as having a first-hand experience with state government. This honor is awarded to a small group of students who apply for the position, are interested in state government and are in good academic standing at their schools. Theresa and Eusebio were chosen from among 125-150 eighth graders statewide. They work Tuesday through Friday for a six-week term. Pages do have some time throughout the day to complete homework and are in their normal school classes on Mondays dependent upon what is happening in the Statehouse.
