The Bible and the Virgin Mary series

BARRE—There will be a 12-part series on The Bible and the Virgin Mary beginning Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Monica Parish featuring a DVD series and discussion produced by the St. Paul Center for Biblical Studies. Participants will watch a 25-30 minute presentation then work in small groups to deepen their understanding and strengthen their faith. The last in the series is April 9. Winter Blast

BARRE--The Barre Winter Blast winter youth rally will take place at St. Monica Parish on Feb. 18 for high school students from 3-7:30 p.m. On Feb. 19 the middle school rally will take place from 10:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information call 658-6110 ext. 1240.
 

Potlucky Bingo

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION-- Potlucky Bingo will take place on Jan. 21 following the 4 p.m. Mass at St. Anthony Church. The St. Anthony Religious Education program will be hosting the annual event. Everyone is welcome to come together for a potluck dinner and bingo with delicious chocolate as prizes. Parents of religious education students are asked to bring a potluck dish to serve 10.
 

Youth ministry

VERGENNES—Addison County Catholic Youth Ministry upcoming events include Ignite, the high school ministry, meeting on Jan. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Peter Parish Hall. Spark, the middle school youth ministry program, will meet on Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Ambrose Parish Hall. Family Night will take place on Jan. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter's. A meal will be provided; bring a dessert to share.
 

Chorale trip

BARRE-- The St. Monica-St. Michael Chorale Group traveled to Boston in December to perform its own concert in the South Market performance space. They then observed a different school group perform before taking a tour of historic Faneuil Hall.
