Parish retreatBARRE--There will be a 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima parish mission from Sunday, April 30, through Tuesday, May 2, at St. Monica Parish, 79 Summer St., Barre.
The featured speaker will be Father Dan Cambra, director of the Marian evangelization team and a member of the Mother of Mercy Province of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Marians of the Immaculate Conception is the religious community entrusted to spread the message and devotion of The Divine Mercy.
He will speak at all weekend masses.
Presentations will be on Sunday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m.; Monday, May 1, at 9 a.m.;
Tuesday, May 2, at 9 a.m.
Topics include praying for the conversion of souls, praying for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as a prelude to ushering in the era of The Divine Mercy, the interrelationship of the message of Divine Mercy as revealed to St. Faustina and the message of Our Lady of Fatima as revealed to the three shepherd children.
There also will be the opportunity to receive a blessing with a relic of St. Faustina. St. John Paul II canonized her in 2000, making her the first saint of the new millennium. Speaking of her and the importance of the message contained in her diary, the pope called her "the great apostle of Divine Mercy in our time."

Scout MassBURLINGTON--Burlington Bishop Christopher J. Coyne celebrated a special Scout Mass Feb. 26.
The scouts received awards in a ceremony after the Mass, and the bishop reminded them about the importance of reverence in scouting.
The Catholic Committee on Scouting hosted the celebration at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.
Eight Boys Scouts earned their Ad Altari Dei award:
*Frankie Ellis-Monaghan and Isaiah Ellis-Monaghan from St. Rose of Lima Church in Grande Isle;
*Andrew Koval and Dylan Koval from Holy Angels Church in St. Albans:
*Jeremy Little from Ascension Church in Georgia;
*Richard Cosgrove, Zachary Botala and Andrew Cashmar from St. Peter Church in Vergennes.
Also, three adults earned medals:
*David Ely II from St. Joseph Co-Cathedral and Bernie Byrne from St. John the Evangelist Church in Northfield earned their Bronze Pelican; and
*Norbert Vogl from Holy Cross Church in Colchester earned his St. George Award.
Casino NightBRISTOL—There will be a Casino Night on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Ambrose Church. Play craps, roulette or black jack. Tickets are $20 per person and include $200 in gaming chips. This year's door prize is a $250 VISA gift card. Appetizers and refreshments will be available. Spaghetti supperGRANITEVILLE—The fourth annual spaghetti supper with homemade meatballs and sauce, salad, rolls, assorted desserts and beverages will be served Saturday, April 29, with seatings at 4:30 and 6 p.m. at St. Sylvester Church hall. DRE Retreat DayBARRE—The annual DRE Retreat Day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, at St. Monica Parish.
Senior mealHINESBURG--St. Jude Parish offers lunches to area seniors on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The next senior meal is scheduled for April 25 from noon to 2 p.m.
