Chicken pie supper

GREENSBORO BEND—There will be a chicken pie supper at St. Michael Church hall, 270 The Bend Road, on Aug. 10 with servings at 5 and 6:30 p.m. The menu includes chicken pie, assorted casseroles, baked beans, coleslaw, rolls, pie and beverages. No reservations are needed, and take-out will be available. The meal is sponsored by St. Michael's Altar Society and Catholic Financial Life Chapter N443 Saint Jean. Catechist Formation Day

ST. JOHNSBURY--Regional Catechist Formation days will take place throughout across the Diocese of Burlington. A half-day program will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church and the Father Joseph Lively Parish Center in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 16. It is specifically aimed at catechists, coordinators and directors of religious education. Pastors are welcome to attend. Participants will attend workshops of their choice, ranging from learning more about the faith to how to engage parents in the parish, and have the opportunity to network and share best practices with other catechists. Check-in begins at 8 a.m., followed by Mass at 8:15. The program begins at 9. Light breakfast fare and a lunch will be provided. Golf tournament

BARTON-- St. Paul's School annual golf tournament will take place Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Barton Golf Club. The fee of $40 per person includes golf, meal and prizes. Our Lady of Fatima statue

BARTON-- The Vermont Missionary Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is in St. Paul’s Church until Aug. 11, courtesy of the World Apostolate of Fatima (the Blue
Army). The next Saturday Devotion with the statue will be in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Newport, on Aug. 12.

Queenship of Mary

HARDWICK—Mary Queen of All Saints Parish will celebrate the Queenship of Mary feast day and annual picnic on Sunday, Aug. 20, at St. Norbert Church. There will be only one Mass that weekend celebrated by the Burlington Bishop Christopher Coyne at 9:30 a.m. at St. Norbert’s. The festivities will begin in the Julien Room immediately after Mass with food and entertainment. Call the rectory at 472-5544 for more information.

Rummage sale

TROY—There will be a rummage sale to benefit Vermont Right to Life on Friday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Hall. For more information call 744-2418.
