September 7 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

For Girls Ages 9-12: Puberty is always difficult to get through especially today when there is so much confusion about what it means to be male and female. Understanding menstruation is crucial for young girls to feel confident and prepared as they enter into womanhood.  This is a chance to help empower the young girls in your life! Birthright is sponsoring the Cycle Show; a five-hour workshop where girls learn the biological processes of menstruation, ovulation, and conception along with the importance of hormones, and their purpose. They’ll also learn about practical tips on how to manage their periods. The workshop is fast-paced, using humor and props to explain the menstrual cycle in an engaging (non-embarrassing) way that girls appreciate and understand. The Cycle Show helps to reduce the fear and anxiety surrounding getting their period for the first time. It promotes body positivity and self-confidence during what can be an awkward phase in a girl’s life. Don’t miss the opportunity to equip your daughter with the knowledge she needs to navigate this important phase of life with confidence and grace! The Cycle Show will be held at 9:00 on Saturday, September 7th at the Colchester Meeting House in Colchester.  To learn more or to register please visit: https://guidingstarproject.com/cycle-show/  or email Valerie Parzyck at [email protected]
