Please join us at St. John Vianney Parish for Explore Alpha – held on 3 Fridays from 9/27-10/11 at 6:15 PM – an opportunity to experience an authentic Alpha session, learn more about how the program works, and engage in discussions about building a welcoming culture of invitation. As Jesus says, “Come and see!” John 1:39
Alpha is an open and welcoming program designed to engage people in conversations about faith. Its primary focus is on those who have not yet found a church home, those who are searching for meaning, those who have questions about life. It also offers a pathway to parish rejuvenation and to welcoming home Catholics who’ve been away.
Each of the 11 sessions begins with a meal, followed by a brief video on a broad question of faith and time for discussion; an opportunity for guests to open up and feel heard on their views of the topic. The goal is to offer guests an encounter with Jesus and accompany them as they journey at their own pace, so that with our prayer and the Holy Spirit’s grace they will grow closer to Him.
As Catholics, we are all called to spread the Good News and encourage others to join us. Alpha is an excellent tool to help with this, and works best in a vibrant, welcoming Church with a culture of invitation.
