Organ recital

BENNINGTON–On Sunday, May 6, at 3 p.m., Donald McMahon will perform a recital at the organ of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 238 West Main St. Susan Green, celebrated Bennington-area trumpeter and music educator, will join him. The program will include compositions by Franz Josef Haydn, Johann Sebastian Bach, Alan Hovhaness and Cesar Franck. McMahon, who has served the parish as music director and organist for 24 years, looks forward to sharing with listeners the organ’s vast array of sounds in solo performances and in ensemble with Green. All facilities at the church are accessible to those who may have special needs, and convenient, off-street parking is available on the church property. The recital is free and open to the public.
