Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching

Often called “the Church’s Best Kept Secret,” Catholic Social Teaching is a good and useful guide in living the Christian life and truly being a Light to the World. Join our discussions on how these ideals can help bring us more into a Christ-centered life.
Theme # 7 is “Care For God’s Creation: Saint Francis of Assisi and the Stewardship of Creation.” Saint Francis of Assisi had a deep and unique understanding of Creation as a sacred gift from God to all. He called the Earth, the sun, the wind, and the water his brothers and sisters because all are created by God. It has taken several hundred years, but our civilization is finally beginning to appreciate the importance of this aspect of his ministry.
