September 9, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm

September 9 is the Memorial of Saint Peter Claver, patron saint of black communities. In light of the recent tension around the country and calls to address both individual and systemic racism that are scourges on our nation and around the world, the United States Bishops have asked Catholics to make this a day of fasting and prayer in reparation for sins against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and for the sin of racism.
Bishop Coyne will lead the faithful in the Stations of the Cross: Overcoming Racism at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph on September 9 at 4:00 pm. All people of good will are invited to attend either in person (please wear a mask and practice physical distancing and hand hygiene) on online via the Diocesan Facebook page or website. Please download the Stations of the Cross on Racism – Cathedral Worship Aid to help you participate from home.
