This virtual event features talks by two fathers of suicide loss in addition to prayer, reflection, and a time of remembrance for our lost loved ones. This is a free event, but registration is required. This event will be held on Friday, September 6th from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm CT.
Deacon Ed Shoener is a founding member of the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers and the co-author of the books Responding to Suicide: A Pastoral Handbook for Catholic Leaders and When a Loved One Dies by Suicide. He is the father of Kathleen Shoener who died in 2016.
Rick Rotondi is a Catholic author and producer who lost his daughter Olivia to suicide in 2022. Rick is the author of the new book, Love is Stronger than Death, which shares his journey through grief after Olivia’s death.
