On All Souls Day, Nov. 2, a special ceremony for the honored dead took place at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland as parishioners from the St. Stanislaus-St. Bridget-St. Dominic Catholic Community participated in a service of remembrance.

Each person was given a flower stem as they arrived for the 4 p.m. Mass.  As the service began, everyone present brought the flower, representing all the people they had known and loved in their lifetimes, to the altar.

The procession was followed by Father Avelino Vale, administrator, and those serving in liturgical roles at the Mass. The priest then prayed for the souls of all of the departed.
