Handel’s “Messiah” with the Vermont Choral Union
The Vermont Choral Union presents Handel’s Holiday Favorite with internationally acclaimed soloists and orchestra of baroque instruments.
The Vermont Choral Union, directed by Eric Milnes, is set to enthrall audiences with their performance of George Frideric Handel’s timeless sacred oratorio, MESSIAH, for three performances on Saturday, December 7th at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, December 8th, at 4:00 and 7:30.
The Vermont Choral Union partners with Montréal’s two-time Juno Award-winning baroque Ensemble L’Harmonie des Saisons to bring this magnificent sacred work alive with period 18th century instruments, offering audiences the opportunity to experience it as it was conceived by Handel and heard in the time it was composed.
The concert on Saturday, December 7th will be presented in the beautiful venue of Holy Angels Church in St Albans which provides a delightful ambiance and acoustic for this extraordinary performance.
The two concerts on Sunday, December 8th will take place at the Cathedral Church of St Paul in Burlington, another fantastic venue and setting, conveniently located in downtown Burlington.
