The Vermont Catholic community stands in solidarity with the Jewish community and condemns the anti-Semitic attacks that are on the rise throughout the country and locally in St. Albans where flyers defending anti-Semitism were found for the second time this month. Our Christian faith teaches us that we are are all brothers and sisters regardless of race, color, creed. Hatred of another person or race simply because of prejudice is never “okay.” As such, we can never be passive when racial hatred arises but must condemn personally and collectively any such behavior while being constantly vigilant to make sure it will no longer arise in our midst.
