Every year, councils of the Vermont Knights of Columbus sponsor the Campaign for Intellectual Disabilities where Knights hand-out tootsie rolls after Mass, or at various locations around town to receive donations. This year, the Vermont Knights of Columbus received a generous donation of $4,125.00 from our parent office (Supreme Council) in New Haven, Connecticut to contribute to Special Olympics Vermont.

“We are proud to support those with intellectual disabilities and help the Special Olympics Vermont provide competitive recreational activities for children and adults who do not always have the opportunity to participate in such activities regularly,” said Christopher Poirier, State Deputy of the Vermont Knights of Columbus.

“Special Olympics Vermont is incredibly grateful for the long-standing partnership and support of the Knights of Columbus. Over the past five years alone, their generous contributions totaling more than $20,000.00 have helped us offer year-round sports training and competitions to over 2,900 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Vermont. The Knights of Columbus’ ongoing commitment to our mission has made a lasting impact on the lives of our athletes, and we look forward to continuing this incredible partnership for many years to come.” said Sarah McCaffrey, President & CEO, Special Olympics Vermont
