Starting Monday, October 30th, John McMahon will host a one hour, in-person Bible study of the Gospel of Matthew on selected Monday nights this winter at St. Pius X Church. Our primary resource (other than the Bible itself) will be Dominican Fr. Wilfrid Harrington’s book: Reading Matthew For The First Time. There will be 9 sessions total — 4 leading up to Advent (where we’ll pause for other programming) & then another 5 afterwards.
Each session will feature a mix of lecture, prayer, & discussion with an emphasis on allowing Fr. Harrington’s scholarship to deepen & enrich our faith. Participants will want to purchase the book ahead of time & read each chapter beforehand — as well as the corresponding material in the Gospel. For more information, contact John McMahon.
