Saints Shuffle 2024

The annual Saints Shuffle 2024 Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, at Millstone Trails in Websterville, VT. This marks the seventh annual community fun run/walk aimed at benefiting St. Monica-St. Michael School. Participants can choose between a virtual option or join in person on a scenic trail that passes historic granite quarries at the Barre Town Forest. The event starts and finishes at the field across the street from Millstone Hill Lodge. To secure a t-shirt, register by May 10. Every entrant receives a raffle ticket and gets to enjoy the post-race cook-out.

Race day registration will be available from 4:00 pm to 5:55 pm in the event room at Millstone Hill Lodge. The registration fees are $25 for participants aged 14 and younger and $35 for those aged 15 and above. It’s important to note that an adult should supervise all children participating in the 5K during the event. However, children in the Kids’ K can run with or without an adult accompanying them, and adult chaperones for the Kids’ K do not need to register separately.

The in-person option at Barre Town Forest on May 31 includes a 5:00 pm start for the Kids’ K (1K fun run/walk) and a 6:00 pm start for the 5k fun run/walk. The Kids’ K course is entirely within the field across from Millstone Hill Lodge, while the 5K follows the Millstone XC Quarry Class route. Race check-in is open from 4:30 pm to 5:55 pm, and medals for ages 14 and under will be handed out at the finish line. After the race, hot dogs and vegetarian options will be served fresh off the grill for race participants! Photos of virtual runs/walks can be submitted for a chance to be featured on social media.

Both in-person and virtual participants have the opportunity to create online fundraising pages to collect donations from friends and family. Prizes will be awarded to the top adult fundraiser (age 15 and above) and the top three child fundraisers (age 14 and below). Shirts, medals, and raffle prizes (if applicable) can be picked up at St. Monica – St. Michael School during business hours. It’s important to note that all photos submitted electronically become the property of St. Monica – St. Michael School and may be used for promotional purposes. Participants outside the service area can request shirts to be mailed to them, specifying their preferred size.

The Saints Shuffle will proceed rain or shine and will be converted to a virtual race in case of thunderstorms or other severe weather, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all registered participants.
