This year’s Vermont Catholic Men’s Conference theme is “Band of Brothers.”

Location will be Our Lady of Angels Church, Randolph, VT

The Keynote speaker will be Deacon R J Dourney.

Registration Fee: Adults over 18: $30 / College Students: $15 / Young Adults 18 and under: Free with a paid accompanying adult.

RJ Dourney’s Bio

A seasoned entrepreneur and executive, Deacon RJ successfully developed multiple companies throughout the US, Europe, Central America, and Asia including the development of over two thousand restaurants. A veteran CEO, the Deacon has served as a key executive of both public and privately held companies including Applebee’s, Chili’s, Cosi, and The Upper Crust Pizzeria. Deacon RJ is also the founder of Hearthstone Associates, formerly one of the largest privately held restaurant companies in New England.

The founder of Fortis Advisors, Deacon RJ and his team serve as strategic advisors to restaurant and real estate companies, and investment bankers, helping take businesses to the next level.

Ordained in 2022, Deacon RJ primarily serves the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Burlington, Vermont. Assigned to a Collaborative of three parishes in Southern Vermont, Deacon RJ also brings Christ to incarcerated men through prison ministry in Vermont. The Deacon is the Chair of the Diocesan Evangelization Committee helping to build vibrant parishes throughout the Diocese. Deacon RJ serves on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Catholic Community Foundation, and is an advisor to Catholic Charities of Vermont.

Deacon RJ is a Distinguished Fellow at Catholic University where he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Ciocca Center School of Entrepreneurship. The Deacon attended Villanova University where he studied business and economics and regularly guest lectures at Harvard Business School, Boston College, and Catholic University of America.

Deacon RJ and his wife Nancy are blessed with three adult daughters, one son-in-law and two on the way. They live in Chester, Vermont.
