Mass of Thanksgiving

BETHEL—Father Lance Harlow, rector of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph Co-Cathedral parishes in Burlington, will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Anthony Church in honor of his Silver Jubilee of Priestly Ordination. Everyone is invited to the Dec. 6 Mass at 6 p.m.
 

Ecumenical Thanksgiving dinner

BRISTOL—There will be a free annual ecumenical Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 12 at St. Ambrose Parish Hall with serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m. The menu will include roast turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, squash, green beans, rolls, apple or pumpkin pie, milk, coffee, tea and cider. Clergy from local churches will serve.
 

St. Alphonsus Christmas Fair

PITTSFORD--The St. Alphonsus Christmas Fair will take place Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall on Route 7 South. It will feature a silent auction, basket raffles and locally handcrafted items. Lunch will be available. Christmas marketplace

BRISTOL—The St. Ambrose "Star of Wonder" Christmas Marketplace will take place Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Ambrose Parish Hall. The event will include a craft  shop, bake shop, mercy creation gift shop, doll and jewelry shop, wonder jars, silent auction and attic treasures. There will be raffles for a “Grandmother's Fan" quilt and theme baskets and a 50/50. For more information, call Sue Grover at 453-2488.
 

Veterans Day service

WILLIAMSTOWN--There will be a Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony on
Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Williamstown Veterans Memorial Park.
 

Poinsettia sale

BARRE—Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Monica #1181 will have a Christmas poinsettia sale featuring 6 ½-inch plants in red, white, pink and marble. The price is $12.95 each. Preorder by Nov. 15 by calling 476-3256 or 479-3258. Delivery will take place at St. Monica Parish Hall on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon.
 

Special Mass

NORTHFIELD—There will be a Mass for parents who have lost a child on Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. John the Evangelist Church for the intentions of all parents who grieve the death of their child.
 

Breakfast buffet

GRANITEVILLE—There will be a Breakfast buffet on Sunday, Nov. 12 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Sylvester Church, 223 Church Hill Road. Mass is at 8:30. The cost for the buffet is adults $8, children 11 and under free. Call 793-4944 for reservations. The menu will include breakfast casseroles, quiche, fruit salad, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, crepes, French toast, Danishes, donuts, muffins and beverages.
 

Knights of Columbus dinner

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION—There will be a roast pork dinner at St. Anthony Parish Hall on Nov. 11 from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children. This is a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus.
 

Craft fair

HINESBURG--St. Jude Parish will have a craft fair on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
