About Vermont Catholic

Vermont Catholic is the official publication of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, which is served by this online news source, the weekly The Inland See bulletin and the quarterly print publication of Vermont Catholic Magazine.

The history of diocesan publications in Vermont is long and varied. The Vermont Catholic Tribune was published for more than 50 years as a weekly publication before transforming into a biweekly newspaper in the 1980’s. The newspaper garnered numerous awards including many from The Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada.

In 2009 the format withstood changes once again, in its move to a monthly magazine serving over 17,000 Catholic constituents in the Diocese of Burlington. In 2016 this online conception was born to reach out beyond its print subscribers, to those who get their news by digital means. The quarterly print magazine offers a rich presentation of in-depth articles, columns and features expanding on its digital presence and the previous magazine format that Vermonters have grown to love.

The mission of all diocesan publications is to inspire and educate people about the Catholic faith, and to provide communication that builds up the Kingdom of God, by evangelizing to all nations.
