Regional catechist in-service

ST. JOHNSBURY—There will be a Regional Catechist In-service from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Corpus Christi Parish in St. Johnsbury.

Golf tournament

BARTON—On Saturday, Sept. 9, the St. Paul School annual golf tournament will take place at the Barton Golf Club. The cost of $40 per person includes golf, meal and prizes. There is limited space. The event is co-sponsored by Catholic Financial Life and Most Holy Trinity Parish. For more information and to register call the parish office at 802-525-3711.

Fatima Centennial Vermont Tour for Peace

ST. JOHNSBURY--The World Apostolate of Fatima, Our Lady’s Blue Army, will be celebrating the Fatima Centennial Vermont Tour for Peace which signifies the Sign of the Cross, reflecting the Seven Sorrows of the Immaculate Mary. This event includes the rosary, procession, Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass. Bring cut flowers for the procession. The event will take place Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church of Corpus Christi Parish.

Tag/bake sale

NORTH TROY--The next St. Vincent de Paul tag/bake sale will be on Friday Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16, in the parish hall.


ST. JOHNSBURY--Classes for adults interested in becoming Catholic or being confirmed will begin on Sept. 20. These Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults classes take place at St. John the Evangelist Church.

Church Night

MARSHFIELD--Church Night takes place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday at North American Martyrs Church for prayer, hymns and a discussion of the readings for the following Sunday. The rosary begins at 6:15. All are welcome.

Life Chain Newport on Respect Life Sunday

NEWPORT--Life Chain is a one-hour, interfaith, silent witness calling for an end to abortion. Theology on Tap

LYNDONVILLE--Catholic young adults, aged 21-35, are invited to learn about their faith at Theology on Tap in the Northeast Kingdom. Bill Gavin, director of youth and young adult ministry for the Diocese of Burlington, will speak on "The Catholic Church and the Foundations of Science and Western Civilization."
