Regional Lector Training (Advanced Session)

If you have not attended a Diocesan Lector Formation session in the past six years, please sign up for an initial session. Otherwise, please select an advance session. You’re welcome to sign up for both the initial and the advance session if you would like and your schedule allows, but please know that attendance at both sessions is neither expected nor required.

Advanced Lector Session: Techniques for Proclaiming the Power of the Word
Having committed to proper preparation, prayer, and practice, the lector will learn and practice techniques for proclamation. We’ll take a look at the standard techniques such as pacing, volume, rhythm in a new light. For this session, lectors are asked to prepare their favorite reading from the lectionary (borrow a missalette or thumb through your lector workbook).
