The Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington has received a number of inquiries about having a collection at parishes to assist those impacted by the recent flooding.  Archbishop Christopher  J. Coyne has granted permission for parishes that wish to do so to take up a special collection for “Disaster Relief”.

It is suggested that the collection be taken up on the weekend of July 22-23, 2023, and the proceeds be forwarded to Vermont Catholic Charities as soon as possible.

These “Disaster Relief” funds will be managed through the Emergency Aid division of Vermont Catholic Charities. Please  write “Disaster Relief” on the Memo Line of check donations.

Individuals may also contribute directly to this “Disaster Relief” effort by mailing a check to Vermont Catholic Charities, 55 Joy Drive, South Burlington, VT 05403 or online (select disaster relief under designation): vermontcatholic.org/disaster-relief.
